Personal
I’m STEVE NOREN. I am Broker Associate and co-founder of Thunderbird Real Estate. Like most successful real estate brokers, I came to real estate from another profession. I first trained as an academic, earning a B.S.Ch.E. in chemical Engineering from Ohio University, followed by an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts in philosophy, philosophy of science and logic. After some 15 years as a university professor winning awards for teaching and for research, the profession lost its allure for me. In 1977 I decided to give voice to a my more practical side.

I have been involved with the brokering of real estate here in the Santa Cruz-Monterey areas for over 30 years and have won numerous awards for the sale of land, homes on land, and general residential sales. Rural property is my favorite and my specialty, although I have deep experience in general residential sales, project sales and even commercial property sales.
